RAISIN RIVER STORE & SERVICES

Our honey is some of the best around with nectar pulled from a variety of crops including soy, corn, and a variety of local vegetables.  In addition, our bees can range the local wildflowers that dot the landscape and the nearby alfalfa laden fields.  This blend of nectars and pollens create an eclectic flavor to our honey that is rich in aroma with a nice balance of sweetness.  Our honey is strained and never heated allowing it to retain its antibacterial and immune boosting properties.

SERVICES

Nucs

The apiary has Nucs available on a limited basis for sale.  Orders must be pre-ordered by January of that year and will be filled as our hives allow.  Prices vary based on availability.

Northern Queens

Our queens are proven layers and are bred for heartiness for the colder northern climate as well as for production.  Open mated survivor stock has proven to give our hives strong honey producers.  Pre-order is essential to meet your needs.  Price varies depending on availability and size of order.

Honey Extraction

Raisin River Apiaries utilizes a 33 frame Walter T Kelly extractor with multiple holding tanks.  We can extract your honey from your hives at a reasonable rate and return it to you in whatever containers you prefer.

Pollination Services

Local pollination services are available to those areas within the Monroe County, Michigan.  Due to the stress of shipping bees long distances, Raisin River Apiaries will only deliver colonies to the immediate area to limit taxing our hives.  This ensures a stable, productive hive is delivered to your field or orchard.

Swarm Removal

We are available for swarm removal in Monroe, Lenawee, Wayne, and Washtenaw counties.  Swarm removal cost is $50 for easily accessible swarms. Cut out swarm prices will be determined on a case by case basis.
